Camil Alimentos S.A. reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended November 30, 2022. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was BRL 2,976.2 million compared to BRL 2,589.5 million a year ago. Net income was BRL 147.1 million compared to BRL 120.5 million a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was BRL 8,788.2 million compared to BRL 7,678.2 million a year ago. Net income was BRL 337.8 million compared to BRL 335.2 million a year ago.
Camil Alimentos SA is a Brazil-based company primarily engaged in the food processing sector. The Company focuses on the manufacture and commercialization of rice, rice crackers, beans, peas, chickpeas and lentil seeds, soybean-based meals, popcorn, sugar and seafood, among others. The Company's products are distributed under various brand names, including Camil, Pescador, Coqueiro, Uniao, Barra, Dolce, Namorado, Butui, Bonzao, Neve and Ducula in Brazil; Saman in Uruguay; Tucapel in Chile, as well as Costeno and Paisana in Peru. The Company operates grain processing units, fish processing plants and sugar mills. The Company controls a number of subsidiaries, such as Camil Internacional Argentina SA, Carreteiro Industria e Comercio de Alimentos Ltda and Ciclo Logistica Ltda.
