Enel Generación Costanera S.A. announced earnings and operating results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2018. Operating revenues increased by $12 million, or 55.2 %, in March 2018. This increase is mainly explained by $19 million of higher revenue attributable to a $21 million increase in tariff revenue related to the new Resolution SEE 19/2017. The aforementioned was offset by (i) lower generation due to the maintenance of the power plant totaling $2 million and (ii) $5 million lower conversion income due to the 25.5 % devaluation of the Argentine peso in relation to the US dollar. $13 million higher EBITDA mainly attributable to higher revenues from the tariff increase. Payments for additions of property, plant and equipment was $13 million against $12 million a year ago.

For the quarter, the company reported energy sales of 1,692 GWh compared to 2,143 GWh a year ago.
