The board of directors of China Energy Development Holdings Limited announced that the gas production capacity construction of the Group's gas field at Akemomu, North Kashi Block, Tarim Basin, China (the Akemomu Gas Field) has commenced full-scale operation on 1 July 2020, and gas output by the newly-constructed gas processing facilities of the project was successfully supplied to the Southern Xinjiang Natural Gas Pipeline Network. As disclosed in the company's announcement dated 25 July 2019, the overall development plan (ODP) of the Akmomu Gas Field has completed the filing procedures in July 2019, signifying the commencement of the development period of the project. The gas production capacity construction, which includes new gas processing facilities that is designed for annual processing capacity of 1,000,000,000 cubic meters, production wells and auxiliary facilities, commenced construction in August 2019. It is expected that the daily gas production volume of the project will reach 3,000,000 cubic meters by the end of 2020, and the production period is expected to commence soon. Further announcement will be made by the Company as and when appropriate, if there is any significant progress in the project of Akemomu Gas Field.
