Chubu Electric Power : Submission and Sending of Environmental Impact Assessment Brief for Hachibuseyama Wind Power Project (tentative name) and Conducting Public Inspection and Explanatory Meetings

Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. and OSCF. Co.,Ltd. today submitted the Hachibuseyama Wind Power Project (tentative name) Environmental Impact Assessment Brief ("Brief") and the summary of Brief ("Summary") to the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry in accordance with the Environmental Impact Assessment Act and Electricity Business Act. Brief and Summary were also sent to the Governor of Fukui Prefecture, the Mayor of Tsuruga City and the Mayor of Minamiechizen Town.

Brief and Summary sent this time summarize the results of the investigation, prediction, and evaluation that were conducted according to the items and methods of the environmental impact assessment determined based on the opinions regarding the Methodology for Environmental Impact Assessment.

The two companies will begin public inspection of Brief and Summary on February 29, 2024, and will hold explanatory meetings on March 14, 15 and 16, 2024, to discuss the details. During the public inspection period, we welcome any written comments regarding Brief.

Both companies will continue to review the development feasibility for the realization of this project with the understanding and cooperation of the local community and other related parties.
