(Alliance News) - Croma Security Solutions Group PLC on Tuesday said it has appointed Jo Haigh as non-executive chair with immediate effect, replacing the outgoing Nick Hewson.

The Fareham, England-based security services provider said Hewson will also step down as chair with immediate effect, but will remain on the board as a non-executive director until May 1.

Croma Security Solutions described Haigh as "an experienced businesswoman and entrepreneur". Upon accepting the role, she was chair of corporate financial services provider FDS Director Services Ltd. She is also currently non-executive chair at Cambridge Healthcare Research Ltd, Fresh Start Waste Services Ltd and Fundamentals Ltd.

"I would like to thank Nick for his many years of service and valuable contribution to the group," said Croma Security Solutions Chief Executive Officer Roberto Fiorentino.

"I am delighted to welcome Jo to the board who I know will bring significant boardroom experience and commercial rigour to our team. Her arrival comes at a key time in our development, as we seek to focus on our cash generative Locks and Systems business and pursue the roll-out of our security store network."

Shares in Croma Security Solutions were untraded at 49.50 pence each in London on Tuesday, late morning.
