Temporary suspension lifted on ISO9001 certification of Denka equity-method affiliate
As announced on May 29, 2023, the ISO 9001:2015* certification of the Kimitsu Plant of Denka equity- method affiliate Toyo Styrene Co., Ltd. was suspended temporarily beginning on October 11, 2023, in response to improprieties related to certification by Underwriters Laboratories Limited Liability Company (UL).
Toyo Styrene Co., Ltd. has notified us that the temporary suspension was lifted on March 29, 2024, following an irregular inspection by Japan Chemical Quality Assurance Ltd. (JCQA), which is the accredited
certification body for Toyo Styrene.
We offer our heartfelt apologies for the serious concern and inconvenience that this incident has caused to customers and other stakeholders. All Denka Group officers and employees are committed to making every effort to prevent any reoccurrence and to regain stakeholders' trust through further efforts to strengthen compliance under the leadership and responsibility of the management team, based on a return to the Group's core value of sincerity.
