Taiheiyo Cement Corporation entered into a share purchase agreement to acquire Cement Sales Business of Denka Company Limited.

Taiheiyo Cement Corporation (TSE:5233) entered into a share purchase agreement to acquire Cement Sales Business of Denka Company Limited (TSE:4061) on October 25, 2022. With this transaction, cement sales under the brand name of Denka Cement will be terminated, and from April 2023, cement produced at the Denka's Omi Plant will be sold under the brand name of Taiheiyo Cement. Net sales of business for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2022 is JPY 11,347 million and total asset of JPY 973 million.

This transaction shall be subject to the completion of obtaining clearance, licenses, etc. required under domestic competition laws and other laws and regulations. The transaction is expected closed on March 31, 2023.
