Duncan Engineering Limited considered and approved the following. 1. Appointed Mr. Jagdish Prasad Goenka as the Chairman Emeritus of the Board with effect from 28 July 2023 and 2. Appointed Mr. Arvind Goenka, Non-Executive Director as the Chairman of the Board with effect from 28 July 2023. Mr. Jagdish Prasad Goenka (aged 86 years) is associated with the company since 1962 as a Director and Chairman of the Board. He is also associated with Oriental Carbon & Chemicals Ltd. since 1985 as a Director and Chairman of the Board. Mr. Goenka is a well-known industrialist hailing from the prestigious Goenka family headed by (Late) Sir Badridas Goenka of the industrial group popularly known as the `House of Duncans'. A visionary leader with 55 years of experience across industries, Mr. Goenka held various illustrious positions like Chairman-Indian Woollen Mills Federation (1969-70), Chairman- Calcutta Jute Fabrics Shippers Association (1969-71), President-Bengal MillsOwners Association (1972-73), Chairman-Indian Jute Mills Association (1973-74), Chairman- Indian Cotton Mills Federation (1978-80) etc. He holds Honours graduate from University of Calcutta. He is father of Mr. Arvind Goenka, Non-Executive Director & Grandfather of Mr. Akshat Goenka, Managing Director of the Company. He is not a relative of any other director on the Board of the Company.
Mr. Arvind Goenka (aged 61 years) joined the Board in the year 1991 & is liable to retire by rotation. He is a member of the Nomination & Remuneration Committee of the Company. He is also associated with Oriental Carbon & Chemicals Ltd. since 1986 as a Managing Director of the Company. Mr. Goenka is a graduate of Commerce from Calcutta University & is an Industrialist from the family headed by (Late) Sir Badridas Goenka. He is associated with the renowned multi- industry group namely "Duncans". He has over 3 decades of rich experience in successfully leading jute, lubricants & carbon black businesses. He has been instrumental in steering the restructuring programme of the Company. He has a keen interest in Art & is also a known philanthropist. He is the son of Mr. Jagdish Prasad Goenka, Chairman Emeritus & father of Mr. Akshat Goenka Managing Director of the Company. He is not a relative of any other director on the Board of the Company.
