Electricity Generating Public Company Limited is a Thailand-based investment holding company. The Company and its subsidiaries are principally engaged in the generation of electricity for sale to the government sector and industrial users. The Company operates through three segments: Electricity generation, and Other businesses. The Electricity generation segment is engaged in operating electricity for sale to the government and industrial users. Other businesses are comprised of maintenance and operating services for power plants, engineering services, coal mining businesses and oil pipeline system businesses. The Company’s power plants presently generate electricity using several fuel sources such as natural gas, coal, biomass, hydro, solar, wind, and geothermal which partly enhance power security. The Company’s subsidiaries include Khanom Electricity Generating Co., Ltd, EGCO Engineering and Service Co., Ltd., and EGCO Green Energy Co., Ltd.
