FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) - The online broker Flatexdegiro must look for a new CEO in the short term. Frank Niehage will resign from his position as CEO of the company with effect from April 30, 2024 due to "different views on strategic development and the well-being of the company", the SDax-listed company announced in Frankfurt on Monday. Chief Financial Officer Benon Janos and Chief Technology Officer Stephan Simmang will assume interim responsibility as Co-CEOs in addition to their existing areas of responsibility.

The company's Supervisory Board has initiated the search for a suitable successor to Niehage. The supervisory body is aiming to complete this in the short term.

However, the departure of CEO Niehage does not come as a surprise. Only recently, major shareholder Bernd Fortsch pointed out mistakes made by the Group and announced consequences for the CEO./mne/stk
