The Board of Trustees of the GAMCO Natural Resources, Gold & Income Trust approved the continuation of its policy of paying monthly cash distributions. The Board of Trustees announced cash distributions of $0.05 per share for each of January, February, and March 2019. The distribution for January 2019 will be payable on January 24, 2019 to common shareholders of record on January 16, 2019. The distribution for February 2019 will be payable on February 21, 2019 to common shareholders of record on February 13, 2019. The distribution for March 2019 will be payable on March 22, 2019 to common shareholders of record on March 15, 2019.
Gamco Natural Resources, Gold & Income Trust is a non-diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fundâs investment objective is to provide a high level of current income. The Fundâs secondary investment objective is to seek capital appreciation consistent with the Fundâs strategy and primary objective. Under normal market conditions, the Fund will attempt to achieve its objectives by investing 80% of its assets in equity securities of companies engaged in natural resource and gold industries, and by writing covered call options on the equity securities. The Fundâs strategy is to invest at least 80% of its assets in securities of companies engaged in the natural resources and gold industries. It is focused on investing at least 25% of its assets in the securities of companies principally engaged in the exploration, production or distribution of natural resources, such as base metals, paper, food, agriculture, others.
