General Plastic Industrial Co., Ltd. announced earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2019. For the first quarter, the company announced sales was TWD 1,696.541 million compared to TWD 1,696.079 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 146.126 million compared to TWD 14.029 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 103.340 million compared to net loss of TWD 39.773 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 0.81 compared to basic loss per share of TWD 0.45 a year ago.
GENERAL PLASTIC INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD. is a Taiwan-based company mainly engaged in the manufacture and distribution of toner cartridges. The Company mainly operates through two business segments. The Operation of Machine Supplies segment is mainly engaged in the research and development, manufacture and sales of photocopiers cartridges, printer cartridges and photosensitive drum gears. The Operation of Tourist Hotels segment is mainly engaged in the arrangement of accommodation, catering and other business travel related businesses. The Company is also engaged in the sales of raw materials and accessories of toner cartridges. The Company mainly distributes its products in domestic market and overseas markets, including the United States of America (the USA), the United Kingdom (the UK), Germany, the Mainland China and others.
