GMO Coin, Inc. announced a private placement of 8,400 shares at a price of ¥120,000 per share for gross proceeds of ¥1,008,000,000 on September 20, 2017. The transaction will involve participation from existing investor GMO CLICK Holdings, Inc. (JASDAQ:7177). The shares will be issued by a way of third party allotment. Post the closing of the transaction, the number of shares held by the investor in the company will increase from 5,250 to 13,650 and the company will become a subsidiary of the investor. The transaction is expected to close on September 22, 2017. The transaction has been approved by the board of directors of the investor. The company reported total assets of ¥498,000,000, net assets of ¥487,000,000 revenue of ¥0, net assets per share of ¥48,765 for the year ended December 31, 2016.
