AMBERG (dpa-AFX) - Bavarian automotive supplier Grammer posted sales of 2.2 billion euros and an operating profit of around 35 million euros before interest and taxes last year. However, the result slipped into the red at minus 44 million euros due to high write-downs in the Americas business, the company announced in Amberg on Monday. This year, the board of management is targeting sales at last year's level and a doubling of operating profit.

Grammer employs about 14,000 people and makes headrests, armrests and center consoles for cars, as well as seats for buses, trains, trucks, tractors and construction machinery. The majority shareholder is the Chinese Ningbo Jifeng Group./rol/DP/he
