Group Five Receives Expressions Of Interest For Various Parts Of Group's Business

Group Five Limited (JSE: GRF) said it has received expressions of interest (EoI's) from a number of parties for various parts of Group's business. Board of Directors is currently considering EoI's, supported by its appointed corporate advisors. Group Five said it was considering offers for some of its assets, a move that could alleviate Group Five’s financial woes.

Group Five is a building and civil engineering works organized around 4 areas of activity: - construction of buildings and civil engineering infrastructures (66.9%): roads, ports, airports, industrial sites, mining infrastructure, residential and non-residential buildings, etc. The group also provides engineering services primarily to mechanic, electricity and mining and petrochemical industries sectors; - manufacturing of building materials and steel products (15.1%): fiber-cement products, reinforcing bars, metal structures, profiles, etc.; - management under concession and infrastructure maintenance (13.5%). Group Five also develops a real estate management activity; - development and management of power projects (4.5%). Net sales break down geographically as follows: Africa (91.5%) and Europe (8.5%).
