Hitachi High-Tech Corporation is engaged in the manufacture and sale of various products including electronics-related products such as scientific and medical systems, electronic device systems and advanced industrial components. The Company operates in four business segments. The Science and Medical System segment is engaged in the manufacture, sale, installation and maintenance services of various analytical and measuring instruments such as spectrophotometers, chromatographs. The Electronic Device System segment provides semiconductor manufacturing equipment such as etching equipment, length-measuring scanning electron microscopes (SEM). The Industrial System segment provides automatic assembly systems such as lithium-ion batteries, power generation and substation equipment, hard disk-related manufacturing equipment. The Advanced Industrial Components segment provides steel products, non-ferrous metal products. The Company is also engaged in indirect subsidy business.
