HKT TRUST AND HKT LIMITED The board of directors of HKT Management Limited and the board of announced that Mr. Tang Yongbo has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director of the Trustee-Manager and the Company, and a member of each of the Executive Committee, Nomination Committee and Remuneration Committee of the Company Board with effect from 2 August 2023. Mr. Tang, aged 49, is a vice general manager of China United Network Communications Group Company Limited, a senior vice president of China United Network Communications Limited, a senior vice president of China Unicom (Hong Kong) Limited, and a director and a senior vice president of China United Network Communications Corporation Limited. In addition, Mr. Tang serves as a non-executive director of China Tower Corporation Limited and China Communications Services Corporation Limited.
He was a deputy general manager and a general manager of Hunan Branch of China Unicom, and a general manager of marketing department of China United Network Communications Group Company Limited. He was a deputy to the 13th National People's Congress. Mr. Tang received a master's degree in Business Administration from Central South University.
He has extensive experience in management and the telecommunications industry. Pursuant to his letter of appointment as a Non-Executive Director of the Company, Mr. Tang is appointed for a term of three years subject to retirement by rotation at least once every three years and re-election at the annual general meetings of the HKT Trust and the Company pursuant to the second amended and restated articles of association of the Company and the trust deed dated 7 November 2011 constituting the HKT Trust entered into between the Trustee-Manager and the Company as amended. He is entitled to an annual fee of HKD 248,800 to act as a Non-Executive Director of the Company, which is determined with reference to his responsibilities with the Company and the Company's remuneration policy.
He has also entered into a separate letter of appointment as a Non-Executive Director of the Trustee-Manager but is not entitled to any additional remuneration.
