IQE plc announced Raytheon has qualified IQE's North Carolina site for the manufacture of epitaxial wafers for use in advanced infrared sensing and imaging. IQE will continue to be a trusted technology partner, providing Raytheon with a secure supply of high-performance infrared photodetector epiwafers made in the USA to bolster national security and domestic supply chains. Building upon a 15-year partnership, both parties will continue to collaborate closely on the research and development of infrared sensors, further developing capabilities for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance applications.
