Jack in the Box is introducing a burger to its lineup. The Smashed Jack is a smash-style, quarter-pound hamburger made with seasoned 100% beef, topped with grilled onions, pickles and a new signature Boss Sauce on a buttery brioche bun, according to a press release.

The burger comes as a classic Smashed Jack or a Bacon Double Smashed Jack. Combo meals are available.

"Smashed patties have been extremely popular, and our new Smashed Jack pays homage as its first fast food rendition, while adding a unique Jack twist," Ryan Ostrom, chief marketing officer, Jack in the Box, said in the release. "Thanks to high-quality ingredients and a new chef-crafted sauce, our new burger boasts a bold, caramelized flavorful patty typically reserved for sit down restaurants or homemade BBQ settings. We recognized an opportunity to lean into our innovation history and bring something new to the drive thru."

The Smashed Jack is available for a limited time.

Jack in the Box operates 2,180 restaurants across 21 states.
