Held at Jinling Hotel, Jinling Riverside Conference Hotel, and Jinling Convention Center, the 4th China-US Tourism Directors Summit was a great success thanks to the hard work of Jinling staff. Starting from October 9, the 2-day summit, jointly organized by China’s National Tourism Administration and U.S. Travel Association, attracted more than 200 directors and executives from the tourism and travel sector, with friends from the media.

Shao Qiwei, Director of China National Tourism Administration and Roger Dow, President and CEO of U.S. Travel Association were present at the summit as they each gave a speech. Chinese and American professionals promised to continue to work closely with the Joint Declaration on Travel released at the 2nd Summit, strengthening cooperation under its framework by luring more organizations at municipal levels from both countries. They also agreed to have more exchange and continue to promote travel and tourism optimization into the future.

Background: China-US Tourism Directors Summit, starting from 2007, is an annual event rotating between cities in two countries. Nanjing is the 4th host city following Charlotte NC, Shanghai, and Orlando FLA. This year, the summit has greatly advanced the cooperation between China and US at many levels which also further paves the way for increased exchange.
