Kapsch TrafficCom AG has announced that Alexander Lewald will be joining the Management Board of Kapsch TrafficCom AG as Chief Technology Officer effective November 1, 2015. Alexander Lewald's appointment as CTO will initially extend over four years. Alexander Lewald spent three years at the German Aerospace Center (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt, DLR) working at the DLR Institute of Robotics and System Dynamics.

He spent five years at McKinsey & Company. Over the past 15 years, he has gathered extensive experience in setting up new businesses, for instance at Kapp IT Ventures, Gilde IT Management, SAP, and Parametric Technology Corp. (PTC).

During the last three years, Alexander Lewald has played a key role in realigning PTC to offer solutions for smart, connected products. In 2015, he worked in a self-employed capacity on projects involving smart, connected products.
