Stefan Alder appointed Head of Group IT at the LLB Group

Vaduz, 12 July 2019. Stefan Alder, Avaloq Group Chief Information Officer, becomes Head of Group IT at the LLB Group. He succeeds Stephan Schmidle who is set to retire after 32 years of committed service for Liechtensteinische Landesbank.

As Group Chief Information Officer at Avaloq, Stefan Alder (44) spent the last four and a half years in charge of the strategic and operational management of the global IT operations and service organisation, with entities in Asia and Europe, managing more than 250 members of staff in the process. In this role, he promoted the strategic and organisational realignment of the IT division and spearheaded the process of transformation towards modern, globally standardised IT processes and services and a future-proof technology landscape.

Stefan Alder is already well acquainted with the financial sector from his thirteen years of work with extensive responsibility in the IT organisations of major Swiss banks UBS and Credit Suisse. Stefan Alder graduated with a degree in Electronic Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH Zurich) and has an Executive MBA from the University of St. Gallen (HSG). He will assume his new role in October 2019.
