Macy's: two appointments to the Board of Directors

Macy's announces the appointment of two new independent directors, Richard Clark and Richard Markee, to its Board of Directors, effective immediately, following an agreement with Arkhouse to withdraw the appointments requested by the latter.
The retail group also implements the previously announced changes to its Board of Directors, effective immediately: CEO Tony Spring takes over as Chairman of the Board and Douglas Sesler becomes an independent director.
The Macy's Board of Directors also continues to work with Arkhouse and Brigade on their proposed acquisition of the company, having begun to provide them with certain confidential due diligence information.
