The board of Maxar Intelligence appointed Dan Smoot to become CEO of Maxar Intelligence on Nov. 6 while the company's current top executive, Dan Jablonsky, will transition to serve on the Maxar board of directors. Smoot has senior executive experience at software and IT companies including Salesforce, Cisco and VMWare.

He most recently served as CEO of Riverbed Technology. Maxar Intelligence remains based out of the company's Westminster eadquarters while the Maxar Space Infrastructure is being run from the San Jose and Palo Alto, California area of California where most of the company's satellite development and construction took place. The separated halves of the businesses have a parent company in common and a shared board of directors.

Maxar Intelligence outlined the other members of its leadership team, including: Mike Mohn, chief financial officer, who has held senior roles at Cisco and Raytheon; Susanne Hake, who became general manager of U.S. Government business after a decade at Denver-based Palantir Technologies; Anders Linder, general manager of International Government, who previously oversaw key business units at European industrial companies Beyond Gravity and Saab; Scott Herman, chief product officer, who has product development experience at Cognitive Space, Blacksky and DigitalGlobe; Anat Gan Eden, chief human resources officer, who has held similar roles at Verra Mobility, Toms Shoes and DIRECTV; Will Cocos, chief transformation officer, who led transformation and value creation initiatives at Comar and Boston Consulting Group. These leaders are joined by longtime Maxar executive Jeff Robertson, chief operations officer; Todd Ham, interim chief technology officer; and others.
