In July, our system-wide sales and same-store sales increased by 8.1% and 6.6%, respectively, compared to the same month of the previous year.
To bring even greater enjoyment of McDonald's Teriyaki to our customers, a total of seven limited-time-offer products were introduced, including the Hokkaido Potato Butter Teriyaki, Osaka Okonomiyaki Style Sauce Egg Teriyaki, and Hakata Mentaiko Teriyaki Chicken burgers inspired by local gourmet foods from Hokkaido, Osaka and Fukuoka (some restaurants excluded).
The popular side menu Chicken McNuggets® 15 pcs (with 3 sauces) was another limited time offer at a special price of 490 yen. Two new limited time sauces, Charcoal Yakitori Tasty Sauce and Smoked Tasty Egg Tartar Sauce, were offered as dipping sauces.
Oreo® Cookie Chocolate Frappe, Mango Smoothie, and three types of French Macaron which used to be exclusively available at McCafé by Barista®, our specialist café area. Since Wednesday, July 5, these popular products have become available at more than 2,000 McDonald's restaurants, i.e., approximately 70% of all McDonald's restaurants nationwide. Our plan is to gradually increase the number of restaurants offering these items.
In addition to the drive-thru, delivery, and digital initiatives designed to promote customer convenience and the enhancement of dinner hours, we have been continuing our Value program, introducing new menu items, and engaging in marketing activities to strengthen our connections with customers.
