As part of our efforts to fulfill our corporate social responsibility, McDonald's is engaged in SDGs and ESG activities. As part of these efforts, we have been supporting the Takamadono-miya Cup: McDonald's Junior Baseball Tournament, also known as the Koshien for elementary school children, since 1986 in the hope of contributing to local communities and the healthy growth of children. This year, it was held in Tokyo from August 5 (Sat.) to 11 (Fri.) with measures against the heat wave with 51 teams participating after winning qualifying rounds in each prefecture.
McDonald's will continue to support this tournament in the hope of the healthy growth of children's minds and bodies and to create good summer memories for boys and girls who enjoy playing baseball and their families.

In August, our system-wide sales and same-store sales increased by 9.8% and 8.4%, respectively, compared to the same month of the previous year.
- The annual Hawaii campaign was held to bring excitement to the summer season, and a total of seven products were offered for a limited time, including the new Zakgiri Potato & Beef Creamy Jalapeño in addition to our regular burgers of Cheese Loco Moco and Garlic Shrimp.
- Bacon Potato Pie, a popular item since its introduction in 1990, saw a spin-off with the first-ever new flavor, Spicy Bacon Potato Pie, offered for a limited time.
- To enable customers to enjoy our popular McFries with family and friends at a great price at the end of the summer vacation, for 12 days only starting on Monday, August 21, the popular side menu McFries in M and L sizes were offered at a special discount price of 250 yen (regular price including tax: M size 330 yen~, L size 380 yen~).
- In addition to the drive-thru, delivery, and digital initiatives designed to promote customer convenience and the enhancement of dinner hours, we have been continuing our Value program, introducing new menu items, and engaging in marketing activities to strengthen our connections with customers.
