Vandercar Holdings, Inc. agreed to acquire unknown stake in Millennium Cincinnati Hotel from Millennium & Copthorne Hotels Limited for $35.2 million (SGD 49 million) on August 7, 2019. Vandercar, The Port, and Hamilton County reached agreement in September for the Port to take that assignment. The Vandercar Holdings, Inc. has signed purchasing rights over to the Port on October 4, 2019. On November 12, 2019, Vandercar Holdings, led by developer Rob Smyjunas, assigned the rights to The Port Authority of Greater Cincinnati Development Authority, Ohio. Hamilton County has spent $2.6 million in earnest money on the hotel. The deal is subject to approval from Cincinnati City Council and the Hamilton County Convention Facilities Authority (CFA) and consummation of due diligence.
