N Brown Group Plc, a U.K. digital retailer, is deploying Oracle technology solutions to improve inventory processes and decrease operational costs.

The retailer, whose brands include JD William, Simply Be, Jacamo, Home Essentials and Ambrose Wilson, migrated its demand forecasting and financials systems to Oracle Cloud using a complete remote delivery model, according to a press release. The migration included adopting Oracle Retail Demand Forecasting Cloud Service as well as Oracle's ERP solution Fusion Cloud.

"Our intent with this migration was to decrease operational costs and increase inventory productivity," Rachel Izzard, group CFO, N Brown, said in the release. "With Oracle Cloud ERP, we streamlined our business and support costs and are using the data science capabilities in the Oracle Retail Demand Forecasting Cloud Service to anticipate better what our customers want so we can ensure we have the right inventory in place."

Oracle Retail Consulting collaborated with the retailer to evaluate over 1 million items across the brand portfolio to develop optimal inventory management strategies.

N Brown can now better adapt to market demand, seasonality, out-of-stocks and promotions, and is offering an improved customer experience as a result, according to the release.
