(Alliance News) - N Brown Group PLC on Thursday said a new chief financial officer designate will be joining the clothing and footwear digital retailer from March 1.

The Manchester-based firm said Dominic Appleton will join as CFO designate, before succeeding Rachel Izzard as CFO and a board director when she steps down.

Izzard will work with Chief Executive Officer Steve Johnson and the board to ensure an orderly handover incoming CFO Appleton, N Brown said.

It currently expects Izzard will leave the business and Appleton will join the board upon completion of N Brown's financial 2023 report at the end of May.

N Brown said Appleton is an experienced finance professional, following 10 years at The Very Group including as group finance director most recently. He also previously served as CFO at online bathroom retailer VictoriaPlum.com and footwear brand Hotter Shoes.Prior to this, Appleton worked in senior finance roles at SSL International and Procter & Gamble.

"His considerable expertise and experience gained in consumer businesses, particularly in digital retail and financial services, will make him a key addition to the executive management team," said CEO Johnson.

Shares in N Brown were down 0.4% to 36.14 pence each in London on Thursday afternoon.
