BioSolar, Inc. announced that Dr. Sung-Jin Cho, an internationally recognized lithium-ion battery expert, will serve as a Technology Advisor to the Company, effective immediately. In this capacity, Dr. Cho will provide leadership in commercialization planning and prototyping for the Company's Super Battery technology, a patent-pending novel cathode based on inexpensive conductive polymers and organic materials that can fully utilize the storage capacity of conventional anodes to lower cost and increase the capacity of lithium-ion batteries. Dr. Cho provides BioSolar with extensive experience and knowledge gained from working alongside innovative battery technology developers for over 20 years.

Dr. Cho is an Assistant Professor at the Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University where he has also served as Director of Nano Energy Laboratory since August 2014. Prior to this current position, Dr. Cho was a technical lead at Johnson Controls Inc., Battery Technology Center, Milwaukee, WI, from 2008 to 2014. He led the USABC (United State Advanced Battery Consortium) program to design and evaluate battery material and lithium-ion cell engineering for automotive application for over six years.
