The Provo, Utah-based company said it had net income of 15 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 37 cents per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 29 cents per share.

The seller of skin care and nutritional products through a direct-selling model posted revenue of $488.6 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported profit of $8.6 million, or 17 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $1.97 billion.

For the current quarter ending in March, Nu Skin said it expects revenue in the range of $400 million to $435 million.

The company expects full-year earnings in the range of 95 cents to $1.35 per share, with revenue ranging from $1.73 billion to $1.87 billion.
