Orange and Google Cloud have announced that they have extended their collaboration to deploy artificial intelligence, particularly generative AI, across its various businesses and geographies.

Thanks to Google Distributed Cloud, Orange can adapt to local regulatory requirements for cloud environments, accelerating the adoption of AI for the benefit of its customers.

Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) is a complete hardware and software solution that combines the power of Google's AI services with secure, multi-cloud Edge cloud environments.

With GDC, Orange will benefit from an environment to ingest and process, through AI, sensitive network data that some national regulations require to be hosted locally or on-premises.

Orange will also be able to run on-premise generative AI models in a simple, integrated environment, using services similar to Vertex AI on Google Cloud.

Orange is harnessing the potential of AI and Google Cloud technology to deliver personalized recommendations to its customers on mobile offers, packages and services.

' Our ambition is to create more value in all our businesses, our networks and in all our interactions with customers, thanks to responsible AI. Orange sees the immense potential of AI in every dimension of its business,' said Christel Heydemann, CEO of the Orange Group.
