Sigmakoki Co., Ltd. reported consolidated earnings results first nine months ended February 29, 2020. For the nine months, the company reported net sales of JPY 6,464 million compared to JPY 6,873 million a year ago. Operating income was JPY 588 million compared to JPY 1,008 million a year ago. Ordinary income was JPY 678 million against JPY 1,117 million a year ago. Profit attributable to owners of parent was JPY 453 million compared to JPY 734 million a year ago. Net income per share of common stock was JPY 64.08 compared to JPY 103.73 a year ago.
For the fiscal Year Ending May 31, 2020, on consolidated basis, the company expects net sales of JPY 8,640 million, operating income of JPY 715 million, ordinary income was JPY 825 million, profit attributable to owners of parent of JPY 550 million and basic earnings per share of JPY 77.65.
The company expects year-end dividend of JPY 20.00 per share for the fiscal year ending May 31, 2020 compared to JPY 20.00 per share paid for the same period a year ago.
SIGMA KOKI CO., LTD. is mainly engaged in the manufacture and sale of optical equipment and devices. The Company has two business segments. The Elemental Component segment manufactures and sells basic optical equipment, including stages, holders and base parts; automatic applied products, such as automatic alignment and attitude determining units, optical measurement and control units, and measurement and control software, as well as optical element and film products, such as multi-element optics, mirrors, beam splitters, filters, lenses, prisms, polarizers, circuit boards and windows. The System Product segment offers optical system products, such as lens units, laser processing systems, laser application products, micromanipulation systems, XY automatic systems for microscope, as well as commissioned custom products, among others.
