Songa Offshore SE announced unaudited consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2017. For the quarter, the company reported total revenue of USD 154,458,000 compared to USD 137,294,000 a year ago. The main reason for the increase of USD 17.2 million is the increase in the Company's operating fleet. Operating revenue for the first quarter 2017 was USD 145.9 million, compared to USD 122.6 million for the first quarter of 2016. The increase of USD 23.3 million is primarily due to the increased revenue contribution from Songa Equinox, Songa Endurance, Songa Encourage and Songa Enabler of USD 11.9 million, USD 19.3 million, USD 24.3 million and USD 33.5 respectively. EBITDA was USD 83,083,000 compared to USD 70,533,000 a year ago, primarily reflecting a USD 20 million negative effect from the Songa Encourage water ingress incident. EBIT was USD 37,225,000 compared to USD 31,993,000 a year ago. Profit before tax was USD 5,732,000 compared to USD 6,314,000 a year ago. Profit for the period was USD 4,961,000 or USD 0.03 per diluted share compared to USD 10,275,000 or USD 0.04 per diluted share a year ago. Net cash generated from operating activities was USD 57,766,000 compared to net cash used in operating activities of USD 24,035,000 a year ago. Purchase of property, plant and equipment was USD 2,596,000 compared to USD 484,464,000 a year ago.
