Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd. provided revised consolidated earnings guidance for the first half of 2023 and full year ending December 31, 2023. For the first half, the company expects sales revenue to be JPY 550,000 million as compared to previous JPY 570,000 million, operating profit to be JPY 11,000 million as compared to previous JPY 5,000 million, profit attributable to owners of parent to be JPY 6,500 million as compared to previous JPY 1,000 million or basic profit per share to be JPY 24.71 as compared to previous JPY 3.80.
For the year, the company expects sales revenue to be JPY 1,160,000 million as compared to previous JPY 1,200,000 million, operating profit to be JPY 34,500 million as compared to previous JPY 30,000 million, profit attributable to owners of parent to be JPY 21,000 million as compared to previous JPY 18000 or basic profit per share to be JPY 79.85 AS compared to previous JPY 68.44.
Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd. is a Japan-based tire manufacturer. The Company operates in three business segments. The Tire segment manufactures and sells tires and tubes for automobiles, construction vehicles, industrial vehicles, race rallies and motorcycles. The Sports segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of sports items, including golf clubs, golf balls and other golf-related supplies, and tennis-related supplies, as well as the operation of golf tournaments, golf and tennis schools and fitness center.
