An undisclosed buyer agreed to acquire land in Fukuoka and building in Tokyo from T.Kawabe & Co., Ltd. (JASDAQ:8123) on June 29, 2016. The Board of Directors of T. Kawabe & Co., Ltd. resolved the transaction. Expected closing and conclusion of contract of the acquisition of land is on July 5, 2016 and for the building is July 28, 2016. Land in Fukuoka was acquired for ¥517 million on July 5, 2016.
An undisclosed buyer completed the acquisition of land in Fukuoka and building in Tokyo from T.Kawabe & Co., Ltd. (JASDAQ:8123) on July 28, 2016. A contract was signed on July 28, 2016 to acquire the building at ¥680 million.
T.KAWABE&CO., LTD. is engaged in the wholesale of personal belongings business such as handkerchiefs, scarves, towels and miscellaneous goods. The Company operates in two business segments. The Personal Items business manufactures, sells, imports and exports handkerchiefs, scarves, mufflers, towels, and textile products. The fragrance business manufactures, sells, and imports and exports perfumes. The Company is also engaged in sale, import and export of upholstery, furniture and bedding; planning and consulting of clothing design and interior decoration; buying, sale and leasing of real estate, as well as manufacture, sale, import and export of cosmetics, perfumes, soaps, pharmaceuticals, and quasi-drugs.
