Taiheiyo Cement Corporation (Headquartered in Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; Masafumi Fushihara, President and Representative Director; hereinafter "Taiheiyo Cement") received the "Platinum Kurumin Certification" on August 30, 2023, from the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare as an excellent "Child Care Support" company in accordance with the Law for Measures to Support the Development of the Next Generation.
"Platinum Kurumin Certification" is a certification system that is available to companies that have received "Kurumin Certification" as an excellent "Child Care Support" company based on the Law for Measures to Support the Development of the Next Generation.
Taiheiyo Cement obtained "Platinum Kurumin Certification" for achieving the targets set forth in the General Employer Action Plan and meeting certain levels during the 7th Plan period from April 2021 to March 2023.
In order to assist employees balance work and child-rearing, Taiheiyo Cement has worked to establish systems that exceeds laws and regulations and to provide cost support and promote the use of child- rearing services.
Taiheiyo Cement will continue to promote initiatives to support employees who want to continue working while balancing work and child-rearing.

Taiheiyo Cement Corporation is one of the Japanese largest cement and building materials producers. The group is also manufacturing electronic and ceramic products and is proposing environmental services. Net sales break down by activity as follows:
- sale of cement (70.7%);
- sale of construction materials (7.9%): aggregates, ready-for-use concrete, autoclaved concretes, etc.;

- other (7.5%): real estate assets management, computing, engineering, transportation, warehousing services, etc.
Net sales break down geographically as follows: Japan (73%), North America (17.4%) and other (9.6%).
