SKO Co., Ltd agreed to acquire 19.8% stake in Taiho Transportation Co., Ltd. (NSE:9040) from Kazutoshi Ogasawara on November 2, 2018. As per the terms of transaction SKO Co., Ltd will acquire 0.15 million shares (1479 units) in Taiho Transportation. Upon completion, Kazutoshi Ogasawara will hold 0.02 million shares (220 units) represent 2.95% stake in Taiho Transportation Co., Ltd. The transaction is excepted to close on November 5, 2018.

Taiho Transportation Co., Ltd. is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the logistics business. The Company provides three kinds of services. The freight transportation business transports consumption-related goods such as food and daily necessities in Aichi, Gifu, Mie, and Shizuoka prefectures with the permission of the general freight vehicle transportation business. The warehouse business has distribution centers in Aichi Prefecture and Mie Prefecture, and provides integrated logistics services from collection, storage, distribution processing, delivery, and collection. The other business has a private car inspection factory, provides car inspections, regular inspections, and general repairs, and operates a non-life insurance agency business. The Company is also engaged in solar power generation business.
