Kenya Power Board has appointed Dr. (Eng.) Joseph Siror as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kenya Power. Appointed on a three-year term, Eng. Siror takes over from Eng.

Geoffrey Muli who led the company in an acting capacity since May 2022. Prior to his appointment, Eng. Siror was KETRACO's General Manager in charge of Technical Services (System Operators and Power Management).

In a statement, Kenya Power Board Chair Joy Brenda Masinde said that Dr. Siror brings onboard a wealth of experience spanning 30 years in diverse business portfolio. Eng. Siror previously worked at the National Economic and Social Council, the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Kenya Posts and Telecommunications Corporations as well as Firestone East Africa Limited.

He holds a PhD degree in Engineering from China's Shanghai Jiatong University, Eng. Siror also has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor's degree in Law from the University of London. Dr. Siror is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineer (ICEE) and a licensed Professional Electrical Engineer with the Engineers Board of Kenya.

He is also a Corporate Member of the Institute of Engineers in Kenya.
