Tokyo Kisen Co., Ltd. reported consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2021. For the period, the company reported net sales of JPY 2,575 million compared to JPY 2,131 million a year ago. Operating loss was JPY 197 million compared to JPY 277 million a year ago. Profit attributable to owners of parent was JPY 29 million compared to loss of JPY 232 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share were JPY 2.94 compared to loss of JPY 23.39 a year ago.
Tokyo Kisen Co., Ltd. is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the provision of services such as tugboat business, passenger ship business, stand and cafeteria business. The Company operates through three business segments. The Tugboat segment is involved in tugboat business, charter business, disaster prevention-related business and others. The Passenger Ship segment is engaged in tourism, car ferry and transportation ship businesses. The Stand and Cafeteria segment is engaged in the sale of goods associated with the car ferry business and restaurant cafeteria business.
