TV2U International Limited announced that Phase One of the full commercial launch of PERSIS TV was deployed last week. PERSIS TV, which is heralded as `The gateway to Persian culture', is a new global direct-to-consumer OTT streaming service that is being delivered with the JEE Group, in association with JEE's affiliated partner Fafnir GmbH. PERSIS TV features local language movies and TV shows primarily targeted at the five million Iranian nationals currently living overseas, but will also target the estimated addressable market of twelve million Farsi speaking people across the globe. The JEE Group will monetize PERSIS TV through a combination of TVOD, AVOD and SVOD, taking advantage of TV2U's advanced data analytics and targeted advertising capabilities. Phase One has been launched with more than 4,000 hours of Persian video on demand (VOD) content, which is now accessible globally. Customers will pay a monthly subscription fee to access all content on the platform, and will be able to stream on multiple devices via web browsers and the PERSIS TV Android application (Google Play). A JEE Group-backed marketing plan to promote Persis TV will begin during Phase One of the commercial launch. Phase Two will make a further 10,000 hours of content available to customers. The addition of this content will coincide with the introduction of multiple tiered subscription packages, with premium and featured content being added regularly. This will give customers a choice of viewing options, which will also be made available via the PERSIS TV iOS application (iTunes).
