U-Haul Moving & Storage of Truman Corners lacked space to expand operations. But the recent acquisition of 5.81 abutting acres, U-Haul®? will add a new warehouse for U-Box®?

portable moving and storage containers. Purchase of the land at 11901 S. U.S. U.S. 71 Hwy. will provide space to store hundreds of portable moving containers, enabling U-Haul to serve more customers and meet increased demand for its storage products in the region.

U-Haul has been serving customers at the original Truman Corners facility at 11827 Blue Ridge Blvd. since 1978. Reserve equipment on the U-Haul app or contact Reservations at 1-800-GO-UHAUL.

Plans also call for the addition of outdoor drive-up storage units converted from retired moving van bodies - a green recycling practice. Sustainable Modular Storage is an innovative program exclusive to U-Haul. The program reuses detached van bodies from U-Haul trucks that are no longer in circulation to build sustainably engineered self-storage units.

Sustainable self-storage, constructed from reused materials, protects resources and reduces energy usage needed to manufacture new construction materials of concrete, wood, steel and plastics. U-Haul dealers in the Kansas City metro area continue to be available to serve DIY movers. U-Haul has partnered with independent dealers to provide communities with accessible mobility since 1945.

During these challenging times, more than 21,000 small businesses across the U.S. and Canada are generating supplemental income by partnering with U-Haul. When customers rent from their local U-Haul dealers, they are directly supporting small businesses in their community. Because there is no financial investment from dealers, they are not U-Haul franchises.

They are simply small businesses with enough lot space to park U-Haul equipment and enough time to welcome more customers while meeting the mobility needs of their neighbors.
