Westlake Corporation reported earnings results for the fourth quarter and full year ended December 31, 2023. For the fourth quarter, the company reported sales was USD 2,826 million compared to USD 3,299 million a year ago. Net loss was USD 497 million compared to net income of USD 232 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was USD 3.86 compared to basic earnings per share from continuing operations of USD 1.8 a year ago. Diluted loss per share from continuing operations was USD 3.86 compared to diluted earnings per share from continuing operations of USD 1.79 a year ago.
For the full year, the company reported sales was USD 12,548 million compared to USD 15,794 million a year ago. Net income was USD 479 million compared to USD 2,247 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 3.73 compared to USD 17.46 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 3.7 compared to USD 17.34 a year ago.
