World Co., Ltd. (TSE:3612) agreed to acquire 62.5% stake in Laxus Technologies Inc. from Wil Fund I, L.P. of Wil LLC and others for approximately ¥4.3 billion on October 25, 2019. World Co., Ltd. will acquire 11.9 million shares. For the year ending July 2019, Laxus Technologies Inc. had total assets of ¥1.6 billion, sales of ¥1.4 billion, operating income of ¥5 million, net income of ¥35 million. Shoji Kodama, the founder, will continue to work as a major shareholder and President of Laxus Technologies Inc. Planned contract conclusion date is after October 25, 2019 and planned share transfer date is November 6, 2019. As of November 6, 2019 Laxus Technologies Inc. is scheduled to become a consolidated subsidiary on November 15, 2019.
