China Shenhua Energy Co. (1088.HK) said its net profit rose 41.1% last year, driven by lower production costs and higher sales.
Full-year net profit totaled 24.91 billion yuan (US$3.60 billion), up from CNY17.65 billion a year earlier, China's major coal producer said in a filing to the stock exchange after markets closed on Friday.
Its revenue rose 3.4% to CNY183.13 billion. The company declared a special dividend of CNY2.51 a share over and above the final dividend of CNY0.46 a share for last year.
