Fujifilm : launches new premium compact digital camera “FUJIFILM XF10”.

FUJIFILM Corporation (President: Kenji Sukeno) will launch a premium compact digital camera 'FUJIFILM XF10' (XF10) as the latest model in the X Series known for superior image quality with proprietary color reproduction technology. The camera will be launched on August 2018. XF10 features an approximately 280g**compact, lightweight body equipped with a large 24.2 megapixel APS-C sized sensor used in cameras such as the 'FUJIFILM X-T100' (X-T100) mirrorless digital camera. XF10 enables high image quality shooting with comfortable operation.

The buttons and dials on XF10 have been positioned to enable easy operation. The rear LCD monitor features a touch panel that can be intuitively operated for simple, comfortable operation. Mounted with a wide angle FUJINON lens with a bright F2.8 maximum aperture and focal length of 18.5mm (35mm equivalent focal length: 28mm), the camera is best suited for shooting everyday snapshots and landscapes when traveling.
XF10 is Bluetooth®***compatible and can be connected to smartphones and tablets at all times. Photographed images can be easily and instantaneously transferred automatically, and favorite photographs can be shared immediately through SNS. Also it enables shooting in the square format (aspect ratio 1:1) commonly used on Instagram*4and others. A variety of photographic expression can be comfortably and easily enjoyed, such as newly equipped with 'SQUARE MODE' that enables switching to square format by flicking the rear LCD monitor. Through enhanced photographic functions including 4K video recording, the camera is well suited not only for still photography, but also for shooting videos.

1. Main Features

(1) Compact, lightweight body equipped with a large APS-C sized sensor and proprietary color reproduction technology enabling high image quality

• XF10 features an approximately 280g**compact, lightweight body equipped with a large 24.2 megapixel APS-C sized sensor used in such cameras as the X-T100. Enables extensive expression of tones gradients utilizing its wide dynamic range and highly detailed, sharp images through the high resolution unique to large sensors. Enjoy photography with high image quality in combination with Fujifilm's proprietary color reproduction technology.

(2) Positioning of buttons and dials to enable easy operation and touch panel LCD for simple, comfortable operation

• Buttons and dials on XF10 have been positioned to enable easy operation. The rear LCD monitor features a touch panel that can be intuitively operated like smartphones and tablets for simple, comfortable operation.

(3) Equipped with a wide angle 18.5mm (35mm equivalent focal length: 28mm) FUJINON lens for a wide variety of scenes

• Mounted with a wide angle FUJINON lens with a bright F2.8 maximum aperture and focal length of 18.5mm (35mm equivalent focal length: 28mm), the camera is best suited for shooting everyday snapshots and landscapes when traveling. The camera can also take close-ups up to 10cm from the tip of the lens, making it suitable for photographing food and accessories.
• Through the use of the Digital Tele-Converter function, users can select focal lengths of 35mm or 50mm (35mm equivalent focal length), and enjoy shooting with various frames.

(4) Enhanced compatibility with SNS such as Instagram and a variety of photographic expressions

• Through Bluetooth® low energy wireless communication, images can be easily and instantaneously transferred automatically to a device paired in advance through the 'FUJIFILM Camera Remote' (free) application for smartphones and tablets. Favorite photographs can be shared immediately through SNS.
• It enables shooting in the square format (aspect ratio 1:1) commonly used on Instagram*4and other sites. Newly equipped with 'SQUARE MODE' that enables switching to square format by flicking the rear LCD monitor. Also equipped with 11 variations of Fujifilm's unique Film Simulation Modes and 19 variations of Advanced Filters including the newly added 'Rich & Fine' and 'Monochrome [NIR]' for a wide variety of photographic expression.

(5) Equipped with enhanced video recording functions enabling creative expression such as 4K video recording

• The camera is equipped with various video recording functions in addition to 4K video recording. The Multi Focus Mode creates a clear, sharp image over a wide range by automatically synthesizing consecutively shot images while changing the area of focus with 4K resolution. The 4K Burst function enables you to capture high quality images of definitive moments through the high-speed consecutive shooting of 15 shots per second*5. The camera is also equipped with the High-Speed HD Video function that enables smooth videos even when playing fast-moving subjects in slow motion. Enhanced video recording functions enable creative expression.
