Kulicke and Soffa Industries, Inc. (NASDAQ: KLIC) ("Kulicke & Soffa", "K&S" or the "Company") today announced Joyce Soo Li Lam will take on an expanded role as the Company’s Principal Accounting Officer, effective July 1, 2014. Ms. Lam joined K&S on January 2, 2011 as Vice President and Corporate Controller and she will continue to hold her existing positions within the Company’s finance organization. Jonathan Chou will be resigning as Principal Accounting Officer effective June 30, 2014, but will continue to serve as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President. Ms. Lam will continue to report to Mr. Chou.

Mr. Chou remarked, “Since joining the company in 2011, Joyce has played a critical role in supporting key corporate initiatives such as simplifying the K&S business tax structure, improving the process for external reporting, and enhancing operational efficiency. I’m confident she will continue to drive operational improvements in her newly expanded role.”

Prior to K&S, Ms. Lam has 25 years of experience in accounting, corporate compliance and controllership, which includes roles as the Head of Shared Services and APAC Controller at France Telecom (NASDAQ: ORAN) for the Orange Business Services Asia Pacific Regional Office, the Corporate Controller at Tyco (NYSE: TYC) Fire & Security (Asia Regional Office) and CFO at UTC (NYSE: UTX) Chubb Singapore Office. She holds a Master of Science in Financial Management from the University of London, a Bachelor of Accountancy from the National University of Singapore and is a qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.
