Bad Neustadt / Saale, August 5, 2014

Following a second review of regional competition the German Bundeskartellamt (Federal Anti-Trust Office) cleared the change of ownership to Helios for the hospital in Cuxhaven, thereby allowing RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG to transfer the facility without delay to Fresenius / Helios on a corresponding contractual basis.

"We welcome the decision by the Federal Anti-Trust Office and the uncomplicated transfer to Helios which has put an end to the uncertainty which has undoubtedly been a heavy burden of its own on the employees and which results in a secure future for the facility," said CEO Dr. med. Dr. jur.
