MAKING INVESTMENTS FEASIBLE, BOOSTING JOBS AND INCOME

When a company needs to raise funds to invest, for example, it can do so efficiently in the capital market, either by launching shares on the market or selling debt securities.

Know that brand you love? And that other one you consume every day? And what about that company you would like to work for?

It is likely that all of them have benefited in some way from these mechanisms to get to where they are now.

That's why we say that, by enabling productive investment by companies, we contribute to the generation of jobs and income and to the strengthening of the economy as a whole.

In addition to supporting companies that want to invest, the capital market also presents great opportunities for people looking to best allocate funds to strengthen their assets.

Here, you can become a partner in companies you trust by purchasing shares safely. And you don't need much: 41% of people who start investing in the stock market do so with contributions of R$40.00 or less.

Did you know that even when you finance a property or a vehicle, B3 is present?

Here, we have a business unit dedicated to supporting the financial market with financing infrastructure.

We provide solutions for financial institutions to register vehicle liens, contracts, real estate documentation and other important items for the security and efficiency of the operation.

This support makes the release of financing safer for all parties and contributes to making credit broader and more accessible in the country.

We invest to make the capital market more accessible for everyone

To put our purpose into practice, we seek to make the capital market more accessible, in order to make investment opportunities available to an increasing number of people in the Country.

Among the novelties of the period is the use of Artificial Intelligence to provide a chat that helps investors. The tool uses information and educational content from B3 itself and other partners to provide increasingly personalized answers.

And we know there is room for that. Although the number of individual investors with assets on the stock exchange has risen from 700 thousand to 5 million in the last five years in Brazil1, the share of the population that allocates funds to this market is still small compared to other countries.

Currently, only around 2% of the Brazilian population invests in the stock market. This number is much lower than in countries like England, with 36%; the United States, with 61%; and China, with 16%.2

To facilitate the arrival of new investors to the capital market, we work mainly on two fronts: simplify and educate. See below some of the highlights of 2023 in this regard.

Bora Investir* is a website that aims to explain the market to readers in a light and educational way. In 2023, the initiative received more than 2.6 million users, which generated 4.2 million hits.

The initiative was built in partnership with Microsoft, which used the Chat GPT technology to create a customized solution for B3.

HUB3

Last year, in partnership with Nelogica, we launched a free application to help individuals who want to deepen their journey in the world of investments.

This is HUB3*, a practical solution that brings together information about finance, news, real-time market quotes, courses and educational content in one place.

One of the application's distinctive features is that it is integrated with B3's investor area. Therefore, in addition to the educational materials, the user can monitor the composition of their portfolio, in a consolidated and simple way.

In just five months of existence, HUB3 had more than 253 thousand downloads.

B3 Investor Area

B3 Investor Area* is a space created by B3 with exclusive access for those who invest in a broker or bank. The Investor Area is a secure source of information to organize and monitor investments in Equities, Treasury Direct and Fixed Income from all brokers or banks in a transparent and consolidated manner.

In addition to monitoring your investments, the Investor Area offers other services such as Digital portability of assets between brokers and integration with fintechs that provide various services for investors. In 2023, the Investor Area had more than 700 thousand monthly visits.

Investor Relations Website for Individuals

Another initiative to bring us closer to individual investors was the development of an Investor Relations website* exclusively aimed at this audience.

The portal seeks to make life easier for both individual investors who already own shares in the Company and those who are still starting their investment journey. The content is presented in simple language and includes an IR Guide, a glossary and more.

OTHER INITIATIVES TO LEARN ABOUT

In order to continue growing and advancing our purpose, we have defined that the customer must always be at the center of decisions.

Our priority is to be increasingly closer to them, listening to their needs, understanding their doubts and anticipating their expectations.

This way, we can offer an increasingly better experience, serving the customer in an agile and efficient way.

Since 2018, for example, we have measured satisfaction with our products and services using the NPS (Net Promoter Score) methodology, which assesses people's propensity to recommend a company.

Based on interactions with our customers across the most diverse channels, we have made improvements to our operations. Among other actions, in recent years:

We restructured our main relationship channel, Atende B3, which now has a simpler, more efficient structure and a more humanized service;

We made the documentation and registration stage for new participants simpler;

l

We invested in self-service and evolved in the digitalization of service to make this service even faster and more efficient.

We want to enhance the positive impact of our operations on the market and society as a whole. To achieve this, we have a sustainability strategy that ensures that all our actions are developed in a structured manner.

To be a company aligned with the best sustainability practices

Internal initiatives related to climate change, governance, diversity and social responsibility, among others, are brought together here. Did you know that we have been a carbon neutral company since 2011? Find out more in the next chapters!

Induce good ESG practices in the Brazilian market

On this front, we support listed companies and the market in general in their sustainability journeys. In 2023, together with the Issuer Regulation, we prepared the ESG Annex: a proposal for social, environmental and governance measures to be adopted by listed companies, under the "practice or explain" model.

Strengthen the product portfolio and open new fronts in the ESG market

Through our products and services, we can, for example, encourage more and more investors to follow ESG issues. With the ESG Workspace data platform, you can check the environmental, social and governance performance of sectors. Through IDIVERSA B3, the first Latin-American index to combine gender and race criteria into a single indicator, we selected the listed companies that show the best performance in terms of representation of underrepresented groups in their organizations.

We actively work to combat climate change

We need to act urgently on climate change. Here at B3, we work to ensure responsible internal management in relation to the topic, aligned with best practices, and we also seek to support other companies on this journey.

From an internal perspective, one of the highlights of 2023 was the beginning of migration of our operations in the main administrative buildings to the Free Energy Market. This will allow us to increase the share of renewable energy in our energy consumption and, thus, reduce our greenhouse gas emissions.

Another important fact was the renewal of our ISO 14.001 certification (a standard that establishes basic guidelines for the development of an environmental management system) for the buildings at Praça Antonio Prado and Rua XV de Novembro.

Our operation has been carbon neutral since 2011, which means we purchase carbon credits to offset 100% of the Greenhouse Gases we emit.

From an external perspective, we announced great news: the creation of a partnership with ACX Group, one of the main trading platforms for the carbon credits market in the world.

The initiative will give our customers access to an international carbon trading platform connected to the main global certifiers.

By entering this market, we seek to bring international buyers of carbon credits closer to important Brazilian players, in addition to adding a layer of integrity to this product's trading chain.
