(Alliance News) - Cooks Coffee Co Ltd on Monday said store sales reached a new record in December, capping a year of double-digit percentage growth.

The Auckland, New Zealand-based coffee house chain said store sales rose 16% to GBP26.9 million in 2023 from GBP23.2 million in 2022. UK store sales were up 19% at GBP17.5 million from GBP14.7 million, while Ireland store sales grew 11% to GBP9.4 million from GBP8.5 million.

Cooks highlighted that this past December "saw a record month for the group for the highest-ever store sales".

Further, it is recording positive operating cash flow.

Executive Chair Keith Jackson said: "We remain committed to delivering exceptional experiences and setting new benchmarks in the months ahead through our dedicated team of local franchise store owners."

Cooks Coffee shares were quoted at 15.00 pence each on Monday morning on Aquis Stock Exchange in London. They traded on Monday at 17.50p, down from 19.10p in the most recent prior trade, which was in August.
